District 17 Update June 2012

District 17 Public Meeting
The next District 17 Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 12
from 6:30-8 p.m. at Worthington Fire Station #1, 9514 Featherbell Boulevard. 
The focus of the meeting will be public safety.  Confirmed attendees include
Metro Police Chief Steve Conrad, Worthington Fire Chief Albert Tronzo,
Middletown Fire Chief Jeff Riddle, Metro EMS Director Dr. Neal Richmond,
Anchorage Police Chief Chris Winders, and Anchorage Fire Chief Walter Lage. 
 
Shenandoah Drive Road Closure
The KY Transportation Cabinet has announced a temporary closure of
Shenandoah Drive at Chamberlain Lane as part of the construction for New
Chamberlain Lane.  Shenandoah Drive will be closed for two weeks to allow for
installation of utilities and construction of new pavement at this
intersection.  The closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. on Monday, June 4 until 5
p.m. on Friday, June 15.  Motorists can access KY 22 from Shenandoah Drive by
following the signed detour via Accomack Drive, Hite Creek Road, Silverton Lane
and Silver Wing Boulevard.  Motorists can access Chamberlain Lane via the signed
detour on Accomack Drive to Windy Oaks Road.  The starting date and duration of
work may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other delays.  You can get
