District 17 Update January 2012

District 17 Public Meeting
The next District 17 Public Meeting will be held Monday, January 30 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Republic Bank, 9600 Brownsboro Road.  Representatives from LMPD's 8th Division, MSD, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Metro Public Works will be in attendance to share information and answer your questions.  Members of the Kentucky General Assembly who represent portions of District 17 have also been invited to attend.  I hope you will be able to join us. 
LMPD E-Mail Notification System
The Louisville Metro Police Department is implementing a new e-mail and text messaging system to send crime notifications to residents.  This system will allow the LMPD to send up-to-date information on crime trends and concerns in your area.  To sign up for this service, please visit  Enter your address in the "Metro Police Quick Find" box located on the left side of the screen and follow the directions given.  You will have the opportunity to receive messages via e-mail or text messaging.
Storm Debris Drop-Off
Citizens left with limbs, branches and other debris after last week's tornadoes can haul these materials to Waste Management's Outer Loop Recycling and Disposal facility, located at 2673 Outer Loop, on Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.  The cost is $15 per load.  The drop-off is for individuals only; no contractors will be allowed.  No shingles or other types of construction debris will be accepted.  For details or questions, please call MetroCall 311.
